'Lata Mangeshkar had told during the interview that this situation remained for about two to three years. Eventually music composer Jaikishan came in and reconciled between the two.
Lata said that she had received a written apology from Mohammad Rafi, after which she agreed to work together again. However, Rafi's son denied this. He had said that Lata herself had spoken to Jaikishan to settle down, after which Rafi agreed to work together.
